Halal Chef is the first international culinary championship proving that halal is not merely a permitted method of preparation, but a philosophy of taste, aesthetics, and mastery.
We bring together the world's finest chefs to break stereotypes and show that halal cuisine can be refined, distinctive, and competitive at the level of Michelin and Gault&Millau.
An official World Halal event
Prize fund: $100,000
Accredited by the World Halal Chefs Association (WHCA)
Partners: leading halal certification centers and hotel chains
Chefs submit a video presentation of their signature halal dish (up to 7 minutes). Judged on: technique, creativity, compliance with halal standards, and presentation.
6 zones: Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, CIS, North America. Each zone has 10 finalists who cook blind before a local jury.
The world's 12 top chefs arrive on the main stage during the World Halal Summit.
Final challenges:
| Round | Format | Time limit | What is judged |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | "Black Box" (secret halal ingredients) | 45 minutes | Improvisation, knife technique |
| 2 | "Heritage" (a national dish with a halal adaptation) | 60 minutes | Cultural authenticity, taste |
| 3 | "Fine Dining on the Fly" (3-course set + pairing) | 120 minutes | Aesthetics, sauce work, textures |
