The World Halal Committee (WHC) was founded in 2019 under the World Platform of Culinary Communities of Islamic Countries (WICS). The organization was established with the support of representatives from more than 25 Islamic countries with the goal of developing an international halal verification system and promoting unified standards in the fields of food, gastronomy, and tourism.
Halal Chef
The "Halal Chef" chef verification program is an exclusive professional initiative of the World Halal Committee, aimed at shaping a new generation of specialists in halal gastronomy.
In today's world, a chef is not only a master of taste but also a bearer of culture, tradition, and values. The Halal Chef program confirms a high level of professional competence, a deep understanding of halal principles, and the ability to apply them in modern gastronomy.
Verification includes an assessment of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, understanding of halal standards, and adherence to ethical and professional norms. Special attention is paid to the culture of food preparation, ingredient selection, product handling processes, and cleanliness maintained at every stage of work.
Chefs who successfully complete verification receive Halal Chef status — a mark of international recognition confirming their membership in the elite of the professional culinary community.
This status opens up new career opportunities, participation in international projects, festivals, and collaborations, and strengthens the specialist's personal brand on a global level.
The Halal Chef program helps establish a unified standard of quality and professionalism, bringing together chefs from different countries within a shared halal philosophy and a culture of high gastronomy.
