The World Halal Committee (WHC) was founded in 2019 under the World Platform of Culinary Communities of Islamic Countries (WICS). The organization was established with the support of representatives from more than 25 Islamic countries with the goal of developing an international halal verification system and promoting unified standards in the fields of food, gastronomy, and tourism.
World Halal invites qualified specialists to join its pool of independent auditors. You will verify compliance with halal standards at championships, at participants' restaurants, at seminar venues, and as part of event verification.
This is a status, official recognition, and paid work within an international ecosystem.
We consider candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
| Category | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Sharia expert | Certification under SMIIC or a national halal standard (JAKIM, ESMA, TURKAK, etc.) |
| Food technologist | A relevant higher education degree, experience working in production or a laboratory |
| QMS auditor | Experience conducting audits (ISO, HACCP, FSSC 22000), preferably with a halal component |
| Chef / restaurant auditor | Professional kitchen experience, understanding of cross-contamination and cleanliness |
Additional advantages:
English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
Experience judging culinary competitions
An active halal certification for your kitchen or production facility
